Open Note to the TSA

Ok. I think it is time to reconsider using profiling. Israel has not had a terrorist event in how long? IMHO profiling is preferable to being sexually assaulted or irradiated.

iOS 4

July 7, 2010

iOS 4 on my 3G is no worse than the previous version 3.X. I do like the threaded email and application folders.
Will stick it out and wait for the iPhone 5 baring any unforeseen incidents.

As for the iPhone 4, something Tyler said sums it up. “I don’t like talking to people on the phone. Why would I want to see them too?”

Landru save us!

Well, the Central PA Festival of the Arts starts next Wednesday. Those who are not of the body should avoid the area lest they annoy the lawgivers.

Been a long time

May 28, 2010

On call for Memorial day weekend. I did not want to do anything anyway.
Need to stay close to home.

A Sad Day

September 17, 2009

I came home from work and found our eldest cat in shock and barely concious. There was nothing the vets could do for her. She will be sorely missed. I am still not out of the disbelief stage. Maybe the scotch will help. Probably not.

Post Surgery

May 8, 2009

Shoulder surgery was sixteen days ago. It still hurts. Orthopedist says pain is from the clean up they did on the bones.

Whatever, it sucks. Should be able to start some weight bearing exercises next week. Things are progressing very nicely otherwise.

Surgery

April 21, 2009

Arrived at the out patient surgical center at 6:50 AM. Intake was quick and soon I was being prepped.

Surgery was preformed using a nerve block and heavy sedation. Not sure what was used, but it seems to have done it’s job. I do not remember much after the locals were administered for the necessary incisions.

Right now the nerve block is wearing off. Time to find the stuff they gave me for post-operative pain.

Hopefully I will be able to sleep. Likely it will have to be in a chair. Moving the arm causes much pain. Finally el Rushbo and I will have something in common. Oxycontin.

Home at last

April 20, 2009

Got home from Arizona about 6:30 tonight. It will be wondeful sleeping in my own bed tonight.

We have the new cat seperated from our other two at the moment. Introductions begin tomorrow.

Getting the shoulder fixed.

April 19, 2009

This coming Tuesday I am scheduled to have surgery to repair the rotator cuff in my right shoulder.    My orthopedic surgeon is very good, but I hate hospitals and do not relish the idea general anesthesia at all.   Should be an interesting adventure.

The surgery is being done as an out patient procedure, so I should be home  the same day.  Then it will be about six to eight weeks of physical therapy before I can actually start using my right arm again.  And another six to eight weeks for `full’ recovery.  Of course there are no guarantees as to what `full recovery’ will mean.  This is going to suck big time.
